Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Policy
At Comber Consultants in Australia, a commitment to workplace health, safety, the environment and quality services is an integral part of the business.
We achieve this by:
- Complying with statutory requirements, codes, standards and guidelines
- Setting up objectives and targets with the aim of eliminating work related incidents and maintaining quality in all areas of our operations, and
- Defining roles and responsibilities for workplace health, safety, environment and quality
- Seeking continual improvement in all aspects of quality, environment and safety practice.
Our strategies include:
- Maintaining an integrated quality, environmental and safety management system with measurable objectives and targets which is regularly reviewed
- Ensuring workplace health, safety, environmental and quality management principles are included in all organisational planning activities
- Operating within Comber Consultants’ Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct, that define the legal and ethical framework within which all our personnel, including sub-contractors, are expected to adhere
- Providing ongoing education and training to all of our employees
- Maintaining and improving consultation processes within the organisation to ensure a clear understanding and delivery of client requirements
- Commitment to consultation and participation and, where required, with workers representatives (RAPS)
- Distributing workplace health, safety, environmental and quality information, including this policy, to all employees and interested parties
- Providing enough resources to ensure workplace health, safety, environmental and quality is a central part of the organisation
- Applying waste minimisation principles and taking all practicable steps to prevent pollution and other adverse effects from our operations
- Working closely with our clients, suppliers, local communities, and other interested parties to continually improve our management processes.
Integrated Management System:
Comber Consultants has an integrated management system that is certified for Quality, Safety and Environmental management. Our archaeological and heritage conservation activities are conducted within this system and under the requirements of ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 45001 (OHS) and ISO 14001 (environmental) . This is your assurance that Comber Consultants is committed to excellence, quality and best practice. We are regularly subjected to rigorous, independent assessments to ensure that we comply with stringent Management System Standards.
