We achieve this by:

  • complying with statutory requirements, codes, standards and guidelines
  • setting up objectives and targets with the aim of eliminating work related incidents  and maintaining quality in all areas of our operations, and
  • defining roles and responsibilities for workplace health, safety, environment and quality.

Integrated Management System:

Comber Consultants has an integrated management system that is certified for Quality, Safety and Environmental management. Our archaeological and heritage conservation activities are conducted within this system and under the requirements of ISO 9001:2008,(quality) ISO 14001:2004, (environmental) OHSAS 18001:2007 (OHS)and AS/NZS 4801:2001 (OHS). This is your assurance that Comber Consultants is committed to excellence, quality and best practice. We are regularly subjected to rigorous, independent assessments to ensure that we comply with stringent Management System Standards.

Our strategies include: maintaining an integrated quality, environmental and safety management system with measurable objectives and targets which is regularly reviewed ensuring workplace health, safety, environmental and quality management principles are included in all organisational planning activities providing ongoing education and training to all of our employees distributing workplace health, safety, environmental and quality information, including this policy, to all employees and interested parties providing enough resources to ensure workplace health, safety, environmental and quality is a central part of the organisation maintaining and improving consultation processes within the organisation to ensure a clear understanding and delivery of client requirements applying waste minimisation principles and taking all practicable steps to prevent pollution and other adverse effects from our operations working closely with our clients, suppliers, local communities, and other interested parties to continually improve our management processes.
